Did all sacrifices cease after Jesus offered up his own life as a one time atonement for our sins, or are there any sacrifices still relevant today in the Christian faith? Based on Hebrews 13:15-16 not only are they relevant, but they have been prescribed for us to continue to offer up, and according to verse 16, "God is well pleased by them."

Episode 14: "The Tower of Babel, Pentecost & Forgiveness"
As many of you already know that in the last four days (beginning on Tuesday, October 23rd, of this week) 14 pipe bombs delivered to 11 political targets were discovered. This Episode intentionally comes on the heels of the assassination attempts of high ranking political figures, both past and present, including two former Presidents of the United States. Even though the guilty person(s) who committed these detestable acts will have no one else to blame but themselves, does that excuse all others who have contributed to creating a climate of hatred and division in this country from culpability. Especially those who claim Jesus as saviour? -
Episode 13: Grace, Tithing & Church Buildings
October 8th, 2018 | 1 hr 27 mins
christians, church leaders, churches, deception, evangelicals, faith, grace, home church, pastors, the law, tithing
Under a Covenant of Grace are we still bound by a 10% tithe or did that become obsolete with the fading away of the first Covenant under the Law? And what about church buildings? Are they really to be considered as being the same for us under a Covenant of Grace as the "store house" in Malachi 10 that the tithes, under the first Covenant, were to be brought into?

Episode 12: Law Vs Grace
August 6th, 2018 | 1 hr 39 mins
abraham, christian, deeds, end times, enmity, ephesians, flesh, galatians, gentiles, grace, high priest, holy of holies, israel, jerusalem, jews, judah, law, matthew 5, middle east, new covenant, obsolete, offspring, old covenant, pharisee, righteousness, romans, sacrifice, sacrifices, salvation, sanctuary, seed, shadow and copy, spiritual israel, superior ministry, tabernacle, the promise, unequally yoked, works, worship
In Matthew 5:13 Jesus says “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. The lines between the law and grace, not unlike 2000 years ago when Paul addressed this in his letter to the Galatians, may be equally as blurred, if not more so, for much of the church today, thus creating a hybrid Christian faith, if you will, that has become dangerously close to losing its saltiness.

Episode 11: Calling All Citizens
July 22nd, 2018 | 1 hr 39 mins
beatitudes, christian job description, citizenship in heaven, condition of the church, covenant of grace, deceit, deception, desolate, fear, grace, hate, herod, high priest, kingdom of god, love, perfect love, politics and the christian faith, pontius pilate, seven woes, the fall, the law, unequally yoked, worry
In Philippians 3:20 Paul tells us "Our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ..." Clearly, if our citizenship is in heaven then why do we try and make our earthly citizenships' the greater priority for bringing the kingdom of God to bear? Is this Biblical?

Based on the parable of "The Good Samaritan" this is a companion episode to "Racism, Faith and Worship, Oh My!" If Jesus were giving this parable today who would he have passing by on the other side of the road? Who would he have representing himself, instead of the Samaritan? According to this parable much of who we think of, today, as being the "evangelical church and her leadership, is really not all that different than Israel's leadership was when Jesus first recited this parable to the "expert in the law."

The text for this episode is John 4:3-42, Jesus' encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well. This passage reveals so much to us, especially about worship, and what it actually looks likes and means to worship God in "the spirit and in truth," and why this has nothing to do with a worship service and everything to do with what we do outside of a worship service.

Based on the correlation with Jesus for the first part of verse 23, even our traditional views and practices for taking communion (The Lord's Supper), are called into question.

Episode 2: Part I: The Church As Last Eve - Proving Jesus Came To Redeem A Bride
May 5th, 2018 | 58 mins 57 secs
betrothed, bride of christ, christianity, creation, deception, deliverance, first adam, jesus, last eve, office of widows, redemption, restoration, second adam, serpent, the church, theology, widows, women's roles
Through a multiple part series, the case is made that Jesus, as last Adam, came to redeem a bride. Beginning with the creation of the first Eve through the first Adam account in Genesis 2:21-25 and then presenting the correlating passages in the New Testament with the last Adam, the evidence appears to be irrefutable that the Church, Christ’s bride, is also the last Eve. What happens, though, when one half (men) of the church does not recognize or believe this is that the other half (women) of the church, by default will be regarded, and even treated, as though they have less kingdom value and worth.

christ's bride, christianity, condition of the church, deception, desolation, eve, james 1:27, jesus, last adam, salvation, widows, worship
This first broadcast of "Pleading the Case" begins by posing the question: Is it possible to have the right Jesus for salvation and yet the wrong Jesus for living it out? If you have never considered this as a possibility, then the answer might surprise you, especially for what it reveals to us about our present condition as the Church, Christ’s bride?
